Itinerary
8:00 am, Hotel Pick-up and drive to Suzhou
Your guide will be waiting for you at your hotel lobby in Shanghai and transfer you to Suzhou(about 2 hours).
10:00 - 11:00 am, Visit Suzhou Garden
Firstly, you can choose one of selected 3 classical Suzhou gardens to visit: Master of the Nets Garden (Most recommended), Lingering Garden or Lion Grove Garden.
The Master-of-Nets Garden is especially fancied by overseas visitors and is praised as the most ornate and intact private gardens in Suzhou. Unlike the larger, bustling gardens, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers a serene and personal experience where you can truly connect with the elegance of classical Chinese garden design.
11:00 - 12:00 pm, Visit Tiger Hill
Then we'll visit the Tiger Hill, also known as Surging Sea Hill, which is a famous scenic area in Suzhou, attracting visitors with a number of historical sites and its natural beauty.
We'll explore serene gardens, hidden courtyards, and a mysterious 2,500-year-old tomb believed to hold the king of the Wu Kingdom. The famous Yunyan Pagoda, tilting gracefully for centuries, offers a picture-perfect moment you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you're looking for history, romance, or the perfect photo, Tiger Hill has it all.
12:00 - 15:30 pm, Go visiting Water Town
After that, we will transfer to Zhouzhuang (Most recommended) or Tongli Ancient Water Town. It normally takes 1 hour to get there.
Zhouzhuang, China's most charming water town, brings history back to life with its ancient canals, stone bridges, and Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture. Ride a wooden boat across iconic bridges, wander through cobblestone alleys, and discover cultural treasures like Shen House. The famous dish in Zhouzhuang, Wansan Pork Knuckle would be a must-try.
Tongli, with over 1,000 years of history, is a quintessential Jiangnan water town, boasting ancient residences, old streets, stone bridges, and unique folk customs. The highlight in Tongli is Tuisi Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is an absolute must-see.Stroll across the iconic Three Bridges and Ming-Qing Street to immerse yourself in the historic atmosphere.
16:00 - 18:00 pm, Transfer back to Shanghai
The tour will end after visiting the water town. We'll take a 2-hour drive back to your hotel in Shanghai.
