1-day Lantau Island Tour with Ngong Ping 360

The Day Before Your Tour

8:30 am, Meet Your Driver

Your private driver will meet you at your hotel lobby at 8:30 AM. It takes 1 hour to reach Lantau Island. If you have not booked a private transfer, you can take a taxi or public transportation to the Ngong Ping Cable Car Tung Chung Station on your own. It is recommended to arrive here before 10 AM to start queuing for the cable car.

9:30 am - 12:00 pm, Take the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car

Upon arrival at the Ngong Ping Cable Car Tung Chung Station, please present your e-ticket with the QR code on site and take the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car Crystal Cabin by yourself. The ride takes 25 minutes to reach the peak. Your tour guide will meet you at the Holiday 360 Information Centre at Ngong Ping Village at 12:00.

Please note that:

1. The driver will no longer accompany you after taking you to the cable car station. You need to take the cable car by yourself and arrive at the meeting point at Holiday 360 Information Center before 12:00 PM to meet the tour guide and join in a group tour.
2. We will take the Crystal Cabin of the ​​Cable Car (included) via a skip-the-line track that is saving 2 hours of queuing time compared to other cabins. If you If you are unable to board the cable car before 11:20 am, please find a staff at the cable car ticket office immediately and show your confirmation for assistance.

Renowned as one of the most incredible cable car experiences in the world, the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car offers a stunning and unforgettable route to Ngong Ping Village. During the 25-minute ride, you'll enjoy 360-degree views of Hong Kong International Airport, the South China Sea, Lantau Island's lush mountain landscape, the majestic Tian Tan Buddha, and the Ngong Ping Plateau.

12:00 - 3:00 pm, Visit Tai'O Village

Arrival in Tai O, we will start to visit the fishing village and take a 20-minute boat tour to admire the canals and waterways of the fishing community. And sailing out of the village to the sea to see the pink dolphins right next to you if lucky. Then walk through historical buildings in Tai O, go into a local villager's home and our guide will tell some interesting local fishing lives to you. You can also walk around and try some local snacks before we return to Ngong Ping Village at 3pm.

With over 500 years of history, Tai O still retains much of its historical features, such as waterways, stilt houses, fishing boats and fishing village scenery. Like most small fishing villages near Hong Kong, Tai O has a much slower pace, offering visitors a chance to escape the neon lights and high-rise buildings of the city.

3:00 - 4:30 pm, Visit Po Lin Monastery and Big Buddha

Established in 1924, the Po Lin Monastery has evolved into a magnificent and expansive site. This grand complex features palatial prayer halls, shrines, courtyards, gardens, and a scripture library. Known as the Kingdom of Buddha in the South, Po Lin Monastery is nestled amidst rolling green hills and holds a revered status among the people of Hong Kong.

Opposite the temple is the Tian Tan Buddha, which is 34 meters tall and the largest bronze seated Buddha in the world. You can climb the 268 steps to get a close look at this extraordinary statue, and from here you can also enjoy the lush green views of Lantau Island.

4:30 - 6:00 pm,  Take cable car down and back to hotel

Our group tour will end at the Po Lin Monastery around 4pm. You have free time walking around or take the 360 ​​cable car crystal cabin back to Tung Chung Station on your own. It's recommended to queue up for the cable car before 4:30pm which usually takes about half an hour. The queue time will exceed 1 hour if it's later than 4:30pm.

Your private driver will wait for you where you dropped off in the morning and transfer back to your hotel.
