Itinerary Summary
Day 1 Guilin Arrival Day
Make your own transportation to our selected hotel in the downtown of Guilin. The rest of the day is spent at your leisure. Foodie fans could indulge in a street food tour at 17:30 with your hospitable tour guide, a visit to hidden alleys where you can grab a bite of local popular snacks, like craft beer, snails rice noodles, osmanthus pastry, sweet lotus seeds soup, etc. Food fee is at your own expense.
Additional: Chauffeured transfer can be arranged from train station, or even the airport if you need.
Day 2 Longji Rice Terraces and Minority Villages Tour
You'll do a full day tour to the Longji (Dragon's Backbone) Rice Terraced Fields from Guilin. You'll visit two minority villages - Longji Ancient Zhuang Village and Ping'an Village, and admire the beautiful scenery of the terraced fields from various angles. Enjoy a home visit to a local's house, and discover the culture and customs of the Zhuang people. After that you'll experience local ethnic dishes and snacks in a local family-style restaurant which is highly recommended by all our customers. What's more you'll have a chance to speak with local Yao women who have famously long hair and are dressed in red clothes. Return to Guilin in late afternoon.
Day 3 The Ultimate Caving Experience in Guilin
Half day of experience, it involves horizontal caving, and abseils. Experience the underground labyrinth of passages and caverns. See fantastic flowing formations that cover the cave walls and floor, climb, crawl or walk between the stalagmites and stalactites. All this is done deep under ground. Your instructor will put you at ease and allow you to progress at your own pace. Experience is not always necessary.
After caving, drive to Xingping Ancient Town, you'll stay overnight near riverside of Li River.
Reminders: You need a good level of general fitness for this activity and it may not be suitable if you are claustrophobic. The minimum age for this experience is 7 years old. Depends on the group size, one or two professional qualified instructors provide adequate safety protection.
Day 4 Lost In Idyllic Yangshuo Countryside
Wake up without an early morning call, after breakfast, you will experience the dramatic limestone karst landscape along the way to Yangshuo. There is a saying that "the landscape of Guilin is the most beautiful in the world, but the landscape of Yangshuo is the most beautiful in Guilin". Yangshuo has a good portion of the world's most impressive karst landscapes combining hills, rivers, and caves. You'll ride a vintage sidecar to have a countryside tour around the Yulong River.
To maximum your experience, we highly recommend you three popular additional activities below.
Optional A - Rock Climbing (Duration: 2-3 hours)
- All seasons can be arranged.
Over 1,000 rock climbing routes, coupled with a number of climbing gear rental shops, make Yangshuo a paradise for rock climbers. You'll be picked up by an English-speaking professional coach. Before climbing, you will have a professional instruction and training from your coach. Climbing equipment is included.
Optional B - Via Ferrata (Duration: 2 hours)
- All seasons can be arranged.
Climbing the Yangshuo Via Ferrata is about a 2-hour experience. Don't worry if you don't have professional rock climbing training. Your coach will teach you the basic skills onsite and climb with you together. This experience is a thrill and may make those afraid of heights want to hold their breath and take every step carefully.
Optional C - Have Fun with Kayaking or SUPs (Duration: 2-3 hours)

SUPs (Stand Up Paddleboards) are great for exploring a gentle waterway like the Yulong and passengers can choose to paddle while laying down, kneeling, standing, or sitting on the board. Kayaking is a popular way to enjoy the cool water and appreciate the karst scenery along the Li River. Roaming across the clear water, you will fall in love with the small town vibes and scenic beauty of Yangshuo.
Day 5 Departure from Yangshuo
You are able to depart your hotel at any time after check out. Spend the rest of the day at leisure before farewell.
Additional: Chauffeured transfer to airport or train station can be arranged from your hotel if you need.

Guaranted departure with the minimum number of people for this trip is 2. We will arrange an English-speaking driver guide if the group is less than 4 people.
We can open another date in private for you if you have a group of 4 or more people and prefer a different departure date.
Guilin has been a low-risk area since the COVID-19 outbreak. Travel restrictions and bans are not so strict even though if there is an asterisk (*) on your itinerary card.
