What Is Not Included?

Unless specifically stated in your selected ticket option, the following items are not included:

• Hotel pick-up and drop-off
• Personal travel insurance
• Personal expenses and purchases from festival vendors

What Does the E-ticket Look Like?

After your booking is confirmed, you will receive an e-ticket link by email. Your e-ticket contains a unique QR code, booking reference, event date and ticket category. Please keep the QR code available on your mobile device throughout the event.

Please check that the event date, ticket category and guest details on your e-ticket are correct before getting to the meeting point. Keep your mobile phone charged and ensure that the QR code can be displayed clearly for scanning.

Children Policy

• Children over 8 years old are required to purchase a ticket, and the ticket price is the same as that of an adult.
• Children under 8 years old free of charge. They can occupy a seat with parents and will not be provided an extra lantern or souvenir. However, they can enjoy dinner with their parent during the event.

Cancellation Policy

• More than 90 days before the event: Full refund available.
• 0-89 days before the event: No refund. Any forfeited amount will be donated.
• No changes to names or dates are permitted. Lost tickets cannot be refunded or reissued.
• No-shows: Tickets are non-refundable if you are unable to attend for personal reasons.

Security

• Prohibited items: Firecrackers, outside sky lanterns, weapons, gambling equipment, illegal items, alcoholic beverages, smoking, and other prohibited objects are not allowed inside the venue.
• Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended for this outdoor evening event. Traditional Thai or Lanna-style outfits are popular for photos, and light-colored clothing often photographs well during the sky-lantern release.

• What is the difference between the ticket types?

The ticket categories offer different seating or viewing areas. Please refer to the ticket comparison chart below for a quick overview of each option.

• Which date should I choose: 24 or 25 November 2026?

The festival program and included activities are identical on November 24 and 25, 2026, so you may select the date that best suits your Chiang Mai itinerary. Based on previous editions, the second night may offer a smoother experience after the first day's full program. However, event operations may vary depending on the organizer's arrangements, traffic, weather, and safety conditions. Each ticket is valid for one event date only. Please confirm your preferred date before booking, as tickets cannot be used for admission on both nights.

• When will I receive my e-ticket?

After your payment has been successfully completed, your e-ticket will be sent to the email address provided during booking within 12 hours, or as soon as possible.

On the event day, simply show the QR code on your e-ticket on your mobile device to event staff at your designated meeting point. After your ticket has been verified, staff will guide you to the correct shuttle queue for your ticket category.

Please check your inbox and spam or junk folder after booking. If you have not received your e-ticket within 12 hours, please contact customer support before travelling to the meeting point.

• Children policy?

• Dress code?

Wear comfortable, breathable, and modest clothing suitable for an outdoor venue, along with sturdy shoes for walking. For memorable photos, consider traditional Thai or Lanna inspired attire light colored outfits look especially beautiful beneath the glowing lanterns. As the evening may become cooler, bringing a light jacket or shawl is recommended.

• Drone, smoking and drinking policy?

Alcohol drinking & Smoking are not allowed in the event. Drone is not allow at the venue area.

• I don't know how to launch the lantern.

At the event, there will be a demonstration on stage on how to launch sky lanterns. Additionally, there will be volunteers available at the venue to assist.

• What happens if it rains during Yi Peng?

The event will generally continue as scheduled in light rain. However, the organizer may delay, adjust or suspend activities, including the sky-lantern release, if weather or safety conditions require it. Any important updates will be communicated by the organizer.

• Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Advance booking is strongly recommended, as tickets may sell out quickly, especially for popular ticket categories and event dates.
