Timeline For The Celebration

0 - 16:30Arrange your own transportation to meet us at the meeting point at The fountain area at Food Center gate of Central Airport Plaza Chiangmai. Then show e-ticket on your cell phone to get on our free shuttle and transfer to the venue (about 35mins drive).

- Note: Please try to depart at the times indicated above as much as possible, as there are likely to be many people and traffic jams on the day of the festival. Additionally, if you plan to take a taxi directly from your hotel in the city center to the event venue by your own, it usually takes about 40 minutes. Please note that traffic jams and increased taxi fares may be occurred.

Welcome and Register. Enjoy performances about northern culture and diverse tribes, tasting the delicious food with demonstration activities, learning how to cook Thai food, and DIY activities where you will learn and practice with teachers and take back as a souvenir from a total more than 50 items.
19:00 - 20:00
Enjoy art and Thai classical dance performances as well as tribal show.
20:00 - 21:00
- Take a seat in the ceremony area and enjoy the grand shows and parade.
- Monk chanting (Buddhist ceremony).
- Demonstrate how to light a lantern safely.
- All participants launch Lanterns.
- Enjoy a thousand paper lanterns Illuminate the night sky and light and sound of fireworks.

End of ceremony and transfer back to the city. Drop-off point at Central Airport Plaza.

- Children under 8 years old free of charge. They can occupy a seat with parents and will not be provided an extra lantern or souvenir. However, they can enjoy dinner with their parent during the event.

- 0–29 days before: no refunds (cancelled festival revenue goes to charity)

- What's the different between PREMIUM & VIP?
Premium seats are located in the first 1-10 rows in the center area and closest to the Holy Pagoda show stage, while VIP seats are in row 11-30 in other areas. Premium ticket holders can enjoy additional special Chiang Mai local foods which VIP ticket holders can not.
- When do I get the e-Tickets?
Once you complete the payment for your booking, we will email it to you within 12 hours or ASAP. On the day of your tour, simply present the e-ticket on your mobile device to our personnel at the registration booth located at the meeting point. - Dress code for the Lantern festival Chiang Mai 2024?
Participants are requested to dress appropriately for the event, which includes wearing long pants or knee-length shorts and a polo or t-shirt that covers the shoulders. Tank tops are not permitted. Alternatively, participants may choose to wear a Lanna Thai costume.
- Drone, smoking and drinking policy?
Alcohol drinking & Smoking are not allowed in the event. Drone is not allow at the venue area.
- I don't know how to lunching the lantern.
At the event, there will be a demonstration on stage on how to launch sky lanterns. Additionally, there will be volunteers available at the venue to assist.
- Do we have book in advance?
Definitely your should book for this tour in advance. Ticket might be sold out quickly.
- Will the floating lanterns cause environmental problems such as earth and water pollution or forest fire?
We will provide traditional Dhammachai lanterns that approved by Thai Industrial Standards TIS808/2552. The lantern is made of natural and recyclable papers and bamboo, all the materials are biodegradable and will not cause pollution. It has a heat-proof wire attached to the candle wick, which will likely quench out after floating up for about 10 minutes. And the heat-proof wire prevents fire or short circuit if the lanterns fall on the high-voltage power transmission cables.
